PAR. Prevention, Apprehension, Rehabilitation are all equally important. Long term rehab the heals the issue(s) that caused addicts to seek drugs in the first place are need to truly heal those afflicted.

What is the biggest barrier to economic development in Maine and what can the Legislature do to address it?

High energy costs. Brain drain as our youth leaves for other states. Lack of public transportation and rail systems. Maine needs to implement a long term energy policy. Increase spending to develop a robust intern/apprenticeship programs to fill the high tech trades.

Census data show Maines population is aging and decreasing, with some economists suggesting that immigration is the best way to reverse those trends. What should the state do to address this demographic trend?

Make Maine affordable and continue to diversify our economy, lower taxes and energy costs. We need to make our state truly business friendly so that our youth can work, live and raise their future families in Maine.
