Is Maine too generous in providing social services to its residents? Which government benefits should be increased or decreased?

The question is whether we can provide support to those who need assistance in a cost effective manner to ensure our most needy have their needs met. Services to assist the elderly stay in their home is a high priority. The second priority is to assist children living in a drug addiction environment.

I support lowering the sales tax for those who are our lowest wage earners.

A very expensive, cumbersome, time delaying and questionable idea.

Should Maine prioritize law enforcement efforts to intercept drug traffickers over expanding access to substance abuse treatment, such those that incorporates medications like methadone and Suboxone?

This is not the right question. We need to expand both immediately.

Should Maines constitutional officers -- the secretary of state, the attorney general, auditor and the treasurer -- continue to be elected by the Legislature or by statewide popular vote?

Legislature. Last thing we need in this political system.

Is the size of Maines Legislature appropriate? Should the pay for legislative service be increased?

The current size affords me the opportunity to know my friends and neighbors. I would support an increase when I am ending my service.

Who is the one who considers inappropriate behavior not clouded by politics.

The lack of high speed broadband in rural area. Fund the Municipal Broadband Planning Fund.

Census data show Maines population is aging and decreasing, with some economists suggesting that immigration is the best way to reverse those trends. What should the state do to address this demographic trend?

Our first priority is to retain our own citizens and second attract our citizens who would like to return Maine.

We need a coordinated statewide economic development plan with a supporting work force development plan
