Is Maine too generous in providing social services to its residents? Which government benefits should be increased or decreased?

Yes If its not emergency relief it needs to be looked at.

Should Maine prioritize law enforcement efforts to intercept drug traffickers over expanding access to substance abuse treatment, such those that incorporates medications like methadone and Suboxone?

Methadone is a drug maintenance program not a treatment. We should have a strong interdiction and treatment plan

I would prefer to vote on secretary of state and attorney general positions.

Is the size of Maines Legislature appropriate? Should the pay for legislative service be increased?

I would look at a down sizing plan with interest. The pay is adequate at this time.

Would you support sanctioning another elected official if he or she made public comments or statements that were considered racist, offensive or prejudicial?

No. That's the responsibility of the voters.

Would you support a so-called right to work law in Maine?

Yes. No one should be forced to support any organization the don't agree with.

Would you support legislation or a ballot question to allow more casinos in Maine?

I need more information on this subject

What is the biggest barrier to economic development in Maine and what can the Legislature do to address it?

The State of Maine is the biggest barrier to businesses in Maine. From Forbes Magazine this state is the 41st highest in business costs and 45th highest in regulatory environment. These are the issues the legislature has the responsibility to fix.

Census data show Maines population is aging and decreasing, with some economists suggesting that immigration is the best way to reverse those trends. What should the state do to address this demographic trend?

If we can improve our economic picture our children will stop emigrating out of Maine. Any plan to bring more immigrants to Maine will only serve to fix the democratic party's flagging prospects

What is the most pressing issue in Maine these questions have not addressed?

Here in Aroostook County we need more jobs. Improve our business climate and deal with our trade imbalance with our neighbor, Canada. Our farm and woods industry are not playing on a level field with their Canadian counterparts.
